职责：
We are currently seeking a Finance Director for our wholly owned subsidiaries located in Asia. The operations include a development center which supports our global operations as well as operations serving the local markets.
As the Finance Director, you will be responsible for all finance functions, including financial reporting and accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax and internal controls. This position will be based in either Hong Kong or Shenzhen and reports to the Asia Region Manager as well as the U.S.-based Finance team. The successful candidate will play an important role in the management of the Shenzhen operations, and will require a close working relationship with Morningstar’s operations across Asia and with the corporate teams in Chicago. In this position you will travel frequently between Hong Kong and Shenzhen and periodically to the U.S and other locations in Asia.
Your strong financial accounting skills will provide leadership and direction to the accounting team in Shenzhen and Hong Kong, ensuring appropriate internal controls are in place to produce accurate and timely financial reporting. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our operations meet the local requirements for treasury, tax, and audit-related matters. In addition, you will participate actively the budgeting and forecast process and oversee monthly analysis of the financial performance of the Shenzhen development center as well as the local operations.

Your experience with a Foreign Invested Entity, working with various regulatory bodies in Shenzhen including the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC/FIC), State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE) and the State Administration of Taxation (SAT), and your detailed knowledge of Chinese accounting standards, U.S. GAAP, or International Accounting Standards will provide a solid foundation for success in this role. An enthusiasm for creating efficient finance and accounting processes and establishing banking relationships will also be very beneficial. Knowledge of Oracle Financials or other ERP systems is a plus. A curious, inquisitive mind, a frugal mindset, a willingness to understand the unique aspects of our business and culture, and a passion for getting the details right are also keys to success.
In addition, a CPA or equivalent international accounting qualification, fluency in written and spoken English, ability to travel between Shenzhen and Hong Kong and internationally are also expected in this role.
